Artist Statement

My current body of work addresses issues of memory. Whether it is with recording and preserving, as in my ritual linen series, or with grand oversized brooches that reference a time gone by, all of my work talks about our relationship to the past. My goal is to provide people with elements to help record and hallmark their daily lives. I use screen-printing as the foundation of my work and from there, layer and construct the piece with multiple materials and techniques. The work is intended to create joy and pleasure for the viewer; hence the products are highly utilitarian.
